10 Things you can do when you're stuck at home

10 things you can do when you're stuck at home | It has been a very hectic, chaotic and scary moment for everyone. No matter what happens, I hope everyone is in the pink of health. Try your best to stay healthy. Before the restriction of movement takes places, I took the chance to go out for the very last moment just to get something for the 2 weeks quarantine. It's not the first time but it still saddens me and it actually felt surreal that this is all happening right now.

While I was out I noticed there were so many people waiting in line to pay for their things at the grocery store which leave me no choice but to make my way home because it was super crowded. I wasn't really shocked about that but the fact that we were asked to practice social distancing makes me wonder do they really care about that?

The next day it was less chaotic and I made it into the store. Thank god I can still get some supplies and manage to avoid being near to other people. I'm an expert at it because that's what I do all the time. XD I guess I was being prepared for this this whole time. Who knows.

It can be tiring and boring while staying at home without knowing what to do. Let me share with you a few things you can do while being stuck at home whether you're indoors all day out of choice or because of the coronavirus outbreak. Things can get lonely, boring or sometimes even scary.

I know a lot of people might not be able to deal with so much time in their hand or with current situations in the world, people have been struggling to deal with sudden changes in their life when it comes to their well-being and safety.

I myself am kinda fortunate to be used to this social distancing and isolation as someone who sometimes works from home, enjoy more 'me' time and I am most certainly is an introvert that knows how to spend time alone. Hopefully what I'm sharing can help you use your time wisely.

What can you do while staying at home especially because of the Covid-19 virus outbreak. I hope that it will all be in control soon. And by the time it happen you can still do all these things indoors whenever you feel like it.

There are so many things that you can do to pass time and make yourself feel better while being indoors for a long time.

1. Stay Calm

First of all it is better to stay calm. It'l help you to think better in this kind of situation. Being panic will not help you. But it doesn't mean that just have to stay in bed and do nothing at all.

2. Spend quality time with your loved one or reach out to them

If you're home spend time with your family. If you're far from your family or your friend, reach out to them. Use your phone to call or video call. That's what al these gadgets are made for. For you to communicate and not only to play games or social media. Let it serve its purpose of being invented in this world. To communicate, in a good way.

3. Read

I'm sure numbers of us spent most of our time reading comments, captions on instagram, twitter and so on. Instead of doing so, why not take a book and read. Any books maybe you've been longing to read but haven't got the time even flip a page. So, start now. It's the perfect time to clear your head from all the medias that can be tiring to listen to.

4. Self-Reflection

If you're not up for any physical activity, do some self reflection. It might be that all these times we've forgot how to self reflect on all the things that happened to us. Have you ever wonder why all these things are happening. I think this is good time to actually take a step back and look for some answers.

5. Exercise at home

This one is definitely for me. I can't really have one day without exercise or physical activities except for when I'm sick. Since we're not allowed to go out for good, try exercising at home. Anything types of simple exercise would do. You choose. Being at home doesn't mean you can't exercise, get your blood flowing and your endorphines going. Don't forget to take care of your health.

6. Write

The next one I prefer most of the time. To write. What I mean by writing is not in twitter social media updates. But more like journals or a diary. We've been there, I mean most of us to the time where we own a diary and write about a lot of things like motivations, quotes, reflections and many more. There's so many ways to write. You just need to find whichever suites you. If not, try something else.

7. Do some cleaning and house chores

Having a clean, nice and tidy space can help boost your mood and productivity in your days. It can help to give you a better life, let you breathe better with clean air.  Clean while listening to music can help to make it fun and stay focus. I believe some people find it to be very satisfying when they got to clean and do house chores. Do you?

8. Learn something new

It's fun to try something new. I've always love it when I get to try something new and it get me excited most of the time. Last time I learn how to knit and it was so much fun until all my yarns are finished and I didn't get to buy a new one due to time constraint and I can be very forgetful sometimes. XD

9. Cook

If you rarely cook, this is the time that you can start burning your kitchen again. Destroy everything in your kitchen (I mean use all of the ingredients and equipments you have). Make something. Try and cook something for yourself. Maybe try new recipe with all the ingredients you have. Who knows you'll be a master chef once the quarantine is over.

10. Pamper yourself and rest

After long week of working, you deserve a rest. You can do so many things to pamper yourself. Sleep early and wake up feeling energised to the next day so that your day can be productive even when you're at home. Sometimes I wear mask before I sleep and just lay down on bed for 10-15 minutes before taking the mask off and go to bed early. Let your mind and your body rest.

There's a lot more that you can do. These are just 10 things that came to my mind at this moment. Share with me the things you do while you're at home. Add more to the list. I would be grateful.

  3. I've been pushing myself to keep continuing with my research project while balance it out with Netflix, YouTube watching, playing with my cats, etc. What I hope to add on to my new routine is exercising. The amount of effort to just start moving is real. hahha Hope you're doing alright over there!
