4 Reasons Why I Wanted to Visit Langkawi | Travel

4 reasons why I wanted to visit Langkawi | Langkawi has been one of the most famous tourist attractions in Malaysia. Even Malaysians themselves always choose Langkawi as their top visiting place for holiday vacations, a place to relax, and even a honeymoon.

When it comes to tropical escape experience, Langkawi is by far the closest to it. Complete with an amazing view, surreal bays, and breathtaking beaches, no wonder it’s on everyone’s bucket list. That includes me.

As an Island, Langkawi is full of hidden treasures that are bound to make an epic holiday escape. With spectacular waterfalls, landscapes, and a pack of activities full of adventure, this classy getaway is full of exciting opportunities. Here are some of the reasons why I’ve always wanted to visit Langkawi.

4 Reasons Why I wanted to Visit Langkawi

Full of activities

The pandemic has been keeping us away from various activities and now I am just like everyone else. So eager to start exploring and doing things I’ve been wanting to do. The island has an extensive range of activities to choose from. It won’t be that hard in finding things to do in Langkawi, you will not be disappointed! From day trips, a sightseeing tour or a relaxing spa, there is surely something for everyone!

If I’m not mistaken one of Langkawi’s most famous attractions is The Langkawi Cable Car. Situated at Oriental Village this exciting trip delivers a chance to witness the views from Gunung Machinchang, which is also the location of the Langkawi Sky Bridge. Now that sounds interesting. The only cable car I’ve ever ridden was the one in Genting Highland.

Other than that is a tourist (future me playing tourist someday) can also enjoy island hopping, water sports, and also emerge themselves in the wildlife experience.

The Cuisine

Okay let’s skip the recent issue that happened not long ago, but we cannot deny the fact that Langkawi is no stranger to all the unique and wonderful foods. There’s a neverending list of great restaurants and cuisines to choose from. All the seafood from fresh crabs, lobster, and squid to barbeque fish and grilled marinated chicken. I can say that that’s what the locals are proud of. I’m not really into the food but more to activities. Anyway, a trip won’t be complete without stuffing yourself with good food, isn’t it?

The Beaches

Calling for beach lovers. Let’s gather here!

For someone like me who has never been to Langkawi, many told me that one of the most beautiful beaches you will find there is Pantai Cenang. It’s a popular choice amongst both the locals and tourists. However, that is not the only one, there are also secluded spots such as Tanjung Rhu’s exclusive beach or Pantai Tengah. These breathtakingly beautiful beaches are just perfect. I love the fact that there are various beaches scattered around the island and it is surrounded by crystal velvet blue sea and white sands.

Talking about beaches, I am even more excited to experience and enjoy my stay at one of the hotels there. Hopefully one day, I’ll get to be there with my family. One of the hotels that attract my attention was Berjaya Langkawi Resort. I don’t even know where to start. You have to check that place out for yourself. I’m not sure if you know or are aware of this, but I often stumbled upon Traveloka’s hotel promo. Traveloka has always been my favorite travel buddy when it comes to booking places to stay.

Beautiful Landscapes

Other than the beaches, I know Langkawi is also home to some of the most beautiful landscapes in Malaysia. From its magnificent rainforests to its floral mangroves, the natural attractions range surely is a blessing to the eye. Pulau Dayang Bunting is one of many spots that people said you can witness Langkawi’s natural splendors including mountainous landscapes and spectacular waterfalls. What I’m sure of is I’d love to visit Langkawi’s Geo Park.  Its enchanting forests, caves, tunnels, waterfalls, and wildlife are a must to experience.
